Our Wool Pressing Workshops are designed for current wool handlers and shed staff to provide an intensive day of wool pressing training. Once completed you may be employable as a wool presser.

Wool Pressing Workshops are one-day, shed based, practical training taught by leading industry trainers. These courses are fully funded by Australian Wool Innovation and are offered at no cost to eligible participants.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Over 18 years of age: if between 16-18 years must have an approved guardian on the course

You will learn about pressing wool into bales, wool pressing documentation, safety, AWEX bale standard requirements, and penning sheep.

The aim for you upon completion of the course is to be a wool presser to an acceptable industry standard and be able to work in the industry as a wool presser.
