Our Improver Shearing Schools are designed for existing and working learner shearers, shearing 80-120 grown sheep, to further their skills. This training school is suitable for learner shearers who have undertaken a Novice Course or have received in-shed training, have their own handpiece or have their AWI Learner toolkit.
This Improver Shearing Training School is 1 day, shed based, practical training taught by leading industry trainer Kevin Gellatly. The school is fully funded by Australian Wool Innovation and is offered at no cost to eligible participants.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must already be working as a learner shearer, shearing 80-120 grown sheep
- Must have own handpiece
