Upcoming Shearer Training Courses in WA
Novice Course:
5 day Novice Courses are designed for learner shearers to provide a solid introduction to the Wool Harvesting industry and create a pathway to obtaining ongoing employment. The aim for you upon completion of the course is to be a novice shearer, employable as a "learner" in a commercial wool harvesting operation.
Improver School:
This training is intended for those already working in industry and have experience in shearing. Limited spots available, please register your interest for the course.
Wool Handling Workshop:
3 day course for new entrants to learn the basics of wool handling in a working shed environment. You will be trained with skills to work in a shearing team as a wool handler and/or wool presser. Competency on completion to go into full time wool handling work.
Fully funded by AWI and available for participants that meet certain criteria, please register your interest for the course.
