Registrations are now open for the SimpliFly™ Train-the-Trainer Workshop.
SimpliFly™ is one of the new developments from AWI's Flystrike Extension Program (check out the Program on a page here: https://bit.ly/3uHIN4a), which brings together best practice flystrike management information into a workshop format to help growers review their integrated flystrike management plan, specific to their property. The SimpliFly™ one-day workshop is targeted to growers in all locations and with all sheep types.
The interactive workshop allows growers to explore the many short- and long-term management tools and strategies available to them to help combat flystrike, working through practical activities to combine these strategies and tools into a customised, property-specific, strategic flystrike management plan and flystrike management calendar, relevant to their environment, sheep type and farm operations.
Though AWI train-the-trainer workshops include an accreditation process for attendees who would like to deliver the workshops, AWI encourages those who would like to attend for professional development only to do so.
SimpliFly™ workshops will be rolled out by AWI's state grower extension networks. Following the Train-the-Trainer Workshops, accredited deliverers will be placed on a list to deliver SimpliFly™ and will work with AWI's networks to organise these across the nation.
