Pest Animals

Australian woolgrowers continue to face high levels of pressure on their businesses from pest animals including wild dogs, feral pigs, rabbits and foxes.

To support woolgrowers in reducing the impact pest animals have, AWI continues to invest heavily in vertebrate pest control including direct assistance to community based vertebrate pest control programs, research into and development of new and emerging technologies which will enhance producers' abilities to detect, deter and/or destroy vertebrate pest challenges and capacity training for the producer and service sector.

In this section
Wild Dogs, Foxes & Pigs

Wild Dog Exclusion Fencing
Well designed and constructed exclusion fences have been very effective at preventing wild dogs from entering properties, resulting in increased productivity and ability to run sheep without attack.
Rabbits
