The Project Coordinator, Woolgrower Services is responsible for assisting with the management of AWI-funded projects and proposals associated with the Woolgrower Services portfolio.



  • Monitor allocated projects to ensure they are progressing satisfactorily and keep the relevant Project Manager(s) informed of any concerns;
  • Provide reports and recommendations to managers on allocated project milestone reviews and project data, and assist with the interpretation and actioning of those reports;
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure their obligations to AWI are being met;
  • Maintain project information in the AWI project management database, including management of project milestones;
  • Process invoices carry out filing (hardcopy and electronic) and perform other administrative tasks when necessary for projects across the Woolgrower Services area allocated by the Manager, Woolgrower Extension & Adoption;
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, non-disclosure agreements and purchase orders as required, liaising with contractors and the AWI Legal Services & IP Team;
  • Liaise with AWI staff from other programs and departments to enlist their assistance with allocated projects or to provide assistance to projects from other programs or departments;
  • Assist with the administration and coordination of expressions of interest and tender processes;
  • Attend meetings and take minutes when required;
  • With time and guidance, begin to take ownership of smaller projects or parts of larger projects; and
  • Other adhoc tasks as required.



A genuine passion for the sheep and wool industry is vital to being successful in this role.


  • Tertiary qualifications in sheep production, science, agriculture or similar is highly regarded (recent graduates included).

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Working knowledge of filing systems
  • Willingness to learn and aptitude for computer systems

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in a project-related role is desirable
