Pasture larval counts
Counting of worm larvae on pasture is also possible, giving a measure of the likely challenge to sheep put in the paddock.
At present, this technique is limited to research as it requires a lot of time and labour to collect and process pasture samples.
Research is being carried out to try to refine the technique and to make it less costly.
