How long have you been in business as a consultant and what region(s) do you service?

I spent 5 years in DAWA up till 1988, when I decided to do my own thing.  I have been consulting since that time (19 years), mainly around the Geraldton area.

What are the 5 key management principles producers should adopt to manage drench resistance and worm management in your area?

  1. Have knowledge, awareness and interest in the problem.
  2. Identify severity of resistance on your property and which drenches are effective.
  3. Prevent new resistant worms from being introduced to your property.
  4. Monitor parasite levels in your sheep.
  5. We need to leave a few non resistant worms in our sheep to dilute the numbers of resistant worms.

What is your favourite quotation and why?
