Entering lot information

If you have not sold wool in the previous three years or the wool classer stencil number is unavailable, then you will need to enter the information manually.

You must enter data in the boxes (fields) in each lot for it to be priced (refer to allowable ranges below). Input of an overall brand is optional.

Additional lots may be created by clicking on the 'Add another lot' button and choosing the number of new lots to be created. Lots which are not needed can be deleted by clicking the delete button on the right hand side. You are limited to creating a 100 lot worksheet.

Once all lots you require have been placed in the worksheet:

  • Choose the region in which your sale centre resides.
  • Choose your price period for your price calculation, e.g. daily, 1 month, 3 months, 12 months or longer.
  • Click on the 'Calculate wool price' button to price your lots and display a priced worksheet. More information.

Start a blank worksheet.

Note that placing your mouse over any heading or data will give you information about that field.

Allowable data ranges

Any data entered outside these ranges will be regarded as an error, and will prevent your worksheet from being priced correctly.

Errors

If a lot has missing (blank) or incorrect data entered, an error message box will be displayed, along with a question mark next to the incorrect item. Place your mouse over the question mark to view details of the error.

Note that a zero value for a wool characteristic is not shown as an error on a new worksheet but may result in a wrong price if not valid for that wool type.
