Do you have a wild dog problem in your patch? WILD DOG CONTROL AND STATE BARRIER FENCE AWARENESS DAY
The Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) in conjunction with the Shire of Mukinbudin and the Eastern Wheatbelt Declared Species Group (EWDSG) is running an information day on Tuesday 14th September in Mukinbudin to raise awareness of control options available to landholders to minimise the impact of wild dogs on the livestock industry.
Australian Wool Innovation is sponsoring the day which will include information on what you can do to control dogs on your property, including bait making and trapping, as well as an update on the various government programs and funding sources available for doggers and dog proofing of the State Barrier Fence.
An experienced “dogger” will be on hand to demonstrate how to prepare and make 1080 baits and how and where to set traps.
