The Campaign for Wool was launched in Australia in March 2011.
Campaign Launch Event
The launch event was held on the 29th March 2011, showcasing the best in wool by designers including Missoni, Richard Nicoll, Mark Fast and Martin Grant and local designers Josh Goot, Romance was Born and Dion Lee. The event was held at the iconic Sydney location Admiralty House. Australia’s Governor General, Quentin Bryce AC hosted the event alongside VIPs from the fashion industry and media.
Consumer/Retail Launch
Aligned to the media event is the consumer/retail launch. The official partner for the Campaign for Wool in Australia is Westfield Premium Centres. An installation of wool garments is being showcased at Level 4 of the new Sydney City centre from the 31st March 2011, with a selection of wool outfits designed by the Campaign for Wool partners. This installation will then travel to Melbourne to showcase at Westfield’s Doncaster centre.
