Brenda McGahan is Chief Executive Officer of Australian Wool Innovation - a not for profit company owned by 30,000 woolgrowers.

The Company invests in research, development, innovation and marketing along the global supply chain for Australian wool - from fibre to fashion, from woolgrowers through to retailers.

Prior to joining AWI in March this year, Brenda was a Director of Elders Rural Services and until its merger with Australian Wool Innovation in 2007, Executive Director of The Woolmark Company.

At the Woolmark Company, Brenda was instrumental in the re-commencement of marketing in the wool industry after a 5 year halt and oversaw re-entry into markets exited in the 1990’s including the USA.

She is an acknowledged leader in retail and consumer marketing and with over 20 years retailing experience Brenda is well equipped to help the wool industry sell more wool.
