Held to coincide with “Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter” held on 17-20 January 2011, the Knitwear Innovation & Design Society (KIDS) of Hong Kong organised the Knitwear Symphony 2011 fashion show with 1600 participants. KIDS also organised the Young Knitwear Designers' Contest, newly added to the event this year with over 100 young designers involved.
AWI participated in the event and sponsored an award in the Young Knitwear Designer’s Contest to promote Woolmark and Merino knitwear designs.
Major local companies in the supply chain were involved, such as Fenix Group, Nameson Group, Novetex Group, and professional designers such as Walter Ma, Judyanna Ng, Florence Tang, Dora Chu and Baldwin Pui.
