As the marketing, research and development organisation serving woolgrowers, it was fitting Australian Wool Innovation had a role to play at the recent Moora Show in the Central Midlands of WA.
AWI presented a wool fashion parade, showing people of the wool and wheat growing community some wool product currently reaching the consumer. A range of garments were shown from the traditional hand knitted pieces, through to MerinoPerformTM active wear garments that break down traditional perceptions of the applications for wool.

Local women modelled a range of garments. The commercially available “do it yourself” knitted garments from the current Cleckheaton and Patons knitting books, designed by woolgrower and designer Josephine Nathan, were central to the parade. |
